Lucky fans in Toronto got quite the surprise Monday morning when Sir Elton John surprised fans at his pop-up shop on Queen St. West. The event was marketed to reward early line goers with a copy of John's new autobiography Me, and to get first access to the exclusive merchandise in store. Little did they know that the first 20 participants in line would get to personally meet Elton, as well as a receive a personalized signed copy of his book.
Elton John and his family only stayed a short while, but he was sure to wave goodbye to the remaining fans outside on his way out. The pop-up shop attracted a massive line down Queen St. on it's inaugural day, and is expect to remain busy throughout the entire week.
Elton John will be performing his final two concerts in Toronto this week, with shows at Scotiabank Area scheduled for Oct. 23rd and Oct. 24th. Be sure to catch the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour while you still can. Tickets can be found here.
