The Black Crowes will be reuniting this summer on a massive tour across the U.S. and Canada. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of their 1990 album Shake Your Money Maker, the Robinson brothers will be hitting the road next June playing amphitheatres across the continental US and Canada.
Adding to the reunion announcement, The Black Crowes will also be playing two special kick off gigs in New York and Los Angeles. Their first show will be tonight in New York City at the Bowery Ballroom, where fans were allowed to line up and buy tickets for $50. Later this week, the band will hit the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles to do the same.
The Robinson brothers have had a tumultuous relationship over the years, adding to the growing stereotype of negative consequences seen from family members forming bands together (just look at Liam and Noel!). But according to brothers Chris and Rich, that's well behind them. After a period of personal growth and sincere apologies, the Robinson brothers are ready to hit the road again playing good old fashioned rock n' roll.
Chris Robinson told Rolling Stone; "We know what we’re focused on. I want to play some fuckin’ rock & roll before it’s too late. I got into this for my love of rock & roll and then I’ve drifted off into all of these folky, jazz, trippy things. I’m still all over the shop, but I’m ready to fuckin’ play some rock & roll." Both Chris and Rich sat down with Rolling Stone for their first joint interview in years, giving a deep dive into their reconciliation and what fans can expect next summer.
